Abstract
Development Fund grant to integrate QFlex—a crypto-agile, quantum-resilient solution—as a core protocol upgrade and long-term infrastructure for the Canton Network. Following a successful pilot running into early 2026, the project spans development, adoption, maintenance, and licensing to provide customizable cryptographic protections for all Canton actors without requiring system-wide coordination. By supporting both legacy algos, post-quantum cryptography (PQC) based on NIST security principles, and hybrid combinations thereof, this integration aims to enhance Canton's global asset security and set a new standard for quantum resiliency in tokenized assets.
