Abstract
Canton's emerging tokenized vault standard (PR #863) defines how a depositor enters and exits a vault and how shares are priced, but not where share price comes from, what a strategy manager is permitted to do with deployed capital, or how redemption works when capital cannot unwind on demand, a gap made concrete by CIP-0116's mandatory Featured App locking and its 60-day gradual unlock. This proposal delivers an MIT-licensed, audited strategy-control and safety extension, a Strategy Registry and Mandates, Deployment and Position Lifecycle, Valuation and Risk Policy, and Redemption and Early-Liquidity Queue, plus a reference automation service, validated end-to-end against two team-managed integrations: a Cashen CC-locking strategy and a Hyprearn delta-neutral funding-rate strategy. The result is a reusable safety layer any standard-conformant vault can adopt, with a MainNet reference deployment and a path to six independently operated adopting vaults.
