Abstract
Daml has no byte array type, so any application working with externally produced bytes, a signature, a hash, a serialised record, builds it by hand over hex Text with three helpers. The DA.Crypto.Text primitives are capable but undocumented in use: nothing says whether they work in a choice body, nothing states their cost, and a malformed signature aborts the transaction rather than returning False.
